Your tale of the lost lense reminded me of one many years ago when those contacts cost a bundle and replacing them was not an easy process. A guy friend of mine, a contact wearing friend, had spent the night with a couple buddies after an out of town football game. When it came time to really turn in for the night, he took two glasses, filled each half full of water and dropped his lenses in accordingly, placing the glasses on the fireplace ledge close to his hide-a-bed for the night. Next morning when he woke, the glasses were gone! His friend's mother had gotten up early and did some house cleaning. You guessed it; those lenses went down the kitchen sink with the water! We're looking at maybe $200 here.......
