I bike around Silicon Valley and this place is built for BMWs, not bikes. At least narrower residential streets make the Beemers slow down a bit now and then; if the street is marked at all, every car around here treats it like their birthright. I've also noticed the lack of respect by some who think its ok to pass close enough that they could clip me with the mirror. Bright clothing and a reflective vest are a must for me.
